After countless attempts to speak with the owner of the retreat for troubled teens she runs on the outskirts of Lone Tree, Montana, Caitlin Myers resorts to kidnapping Brandon ‘The Ogre of Lone Tree’ Barnes in a desperate attempt to change his mind about turning Stoney Brook into a vacation resort for the wealthy.
Retired rodeo star, Dalton Barnes, gets the surprise of his life when he’s abducted by a soft-spoken female with a ‘gun’ and taken to the retreat his family owns. He soon learns she’s kidnapped the wrong cowboy by mistake. She wanted his brother. Things go from bad to worse when a late spring snowstorm strands them together at the cabin. But it’s during their snow-in that Dalton learns why Caitlin has gone to such lengths to save Stoney Brook. Having had issues with his older brother himself and a not so happy past, Dalton promises to do what he can to help her.
When confronted Brandon tells Dalton he’ll hold off on his plans for the retreat, but only if Dalton agrees to stick around and help run it. Keeping his promise to Caitlin, Dalton agrees and what starts out as a common goal to turn the troubled teens’ lives around that summer ends up turning theirs around as well. Can a man who has always avoided putting down roots and a woman with a deep-seated fear of abandonment hang on to the happiness they’ve found together? Or will the past return to threaten their newfound love?
Love, laughter and a heartwarming listen…

This was a fun contemporary cowboy romance, brought to life with a great narration from Kaleo Griffith who brought out the humor in the story. The dialogue was fun and witty, with a few laugh out loud moments (making my coworkers question my sanity while I was listening at work). The author did a great job with putting the characters in funny and awkward situations. Dalton was all cowboy, while Caitlin was a bit dingy at times, but I loved all her funny comebacks and silly situations she got herself into, and she wasn't afraid to stand up for what she believed in. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this story. I can't wait to see what the author has in store for Dalton's brother, Brandon.Fun Contemporary Cowboy Romance

Big bad rodeo champ gets kidnapped--by a petite psychologist. You will love her weapon of choice and her method of keeping him from getting away. Of course, she finds out he is not his brother--the man she planned to kidnap, things just keep going wrong. Snowstorm, the person who rescues them and their fierce attraction. She wants his brother to hear her out about keeping the rescue camp for troubled teens that she runs for him active. He won't even hear her out. So Dalton agrees to help her. And the fun just keeps going--now rodeo champ is in charge of those same tough teens she wants to protect along with her. The pranks they play, the teasing they give....all in all a fun read or listen. Enjoy.Kidnapped cowboy says it all.

The characters are very likeable and the story itself was also well-paced. When Caitlin and Dalton became stranded together I was ready for a storyline that has been done to death but I was pleasantly surprised when it took of on a route I wasn't expect. I especially enjoyed the interaction between Brandon and Dalton. I thought them overcoming their differences and coming to an understanding was a really nice touch.
Caitlin is fun--very clumsy!--and kind hearted as is Dalton. They are an excellent match for one another. I sometimes found her to be a little naive considering she was meant to have had quite a tough upbringing. I'm actually not all that into really gritty back stories so I was glad it wasn't something that was played on over and over but I would have liked her past to haunt her just a little more. Sometimes when she dealt with the teens on the camp, I felt she seemed inexperienced, especially when Dalton took over, in spite of him having very little understanding of these kids.
Aside from that this is a story of substance and a great fun read. It's not all just sex and actually the sex scenes were fairly few and far between--a rarity these days and a refreshing one at that. Don't get me wrong, they were hot. How could they fail to be with Dalton in the room? But Caitlin and Dalton spent plenty of time getting to know one another outside of the bedroom and I found that really added to the development of their relationship.
Those who love cowboy reads will enjoy this, whether you like a bit of steam or prefer a strong storyline. You will love listening to Kaleo and this is the perfect book for snuggling up in bed with.
