YUCK! no blood sacrifice crap for me!!

First off, I don't remember the synopsis stating that this book was about cult crap. No I don't want to listen to what's said to be a sci-fi book that's really a fantasy, cult nonsense book. I don't like anything that has to do with blood making something work.
Absolutely hard pass.
I mostly liked the first two books in the series but as soon as they started talking about blood powering their weapons in this book I was shocked. I kept listening for a chapter more and then Keep ripped out his "weapon" in his arm only to task someone to make it able to get blood from him in a helicopter through some sort of puncture device. Seriously! stop it.
Just be upfront if the book is written about occult magic and blood crap. I can't get my money back for something that I am fundamentally out of alignment with.

It’s good, but.

First 2 take place in space, this one on earth…. A little disappointed. Also now we have space wizards?
This the 3rd in the series was a bit of a let down. Two earth kids buy a starship and set out for adventures, that’s fun! One kid on earth learning magic and battling earth men mercenaries is boring. I hope the 4th one gets back to space.
