Acerca de esta escucha
San Francisco ad-man Art Kassel has three seemingly unreachable life goals: to find some woman somewhere who shares his love for all things intellectual, cultural and culinary; to win accolades and awards for creativity in advertising; and to escape the iffy morality of his career by launching the big honking novel he’s been slogging away at forever. Imagine how thrilled he is when all his goals suddenly seem within his grasp. Especially when he comes up with a brilliant campaign for the ad agency’s most important account: Cloud Nine Toilet Paper.
Thankfully, he has plenty of Cloud Nine on hand, because soon all his hopes are flushed away. Set in the pre-internet Mad-men ‘80’s, Kassel’s in Air, a rom/com, follows its disaster-prone protagonist as he struggles with love and pain, career dreams and reality. All in his efforts to survive the granting of his wishes.

Wolf has a way with hooking his readers!
Author David T. Wolf has an impressive repertoire of reads, spanning murder, mystery, thrills and suspense; Wolf has a way of hooking his readers. And yet, “Kassel’s in Air” turns over an entirely new leaf, showing his exceptional talent for crafting stories, injecting humor, and taking on romantic comedies.
Using his own background in advertising, Wolf writes Arthur Kassel into the industry. Readers find Art as he jets off to Hollywood once again to cut a commercial for clients of shelf-stable sandwiches. Upon landing, Art and his art director, Tom Brock, find themselves with time to kill and decide to take in a film, Art’s favorite Silver Flash starring his dream woman, Jocelyn Jarvis. Having just broken up with his girlfriend, Art finds Jarvis’ on-screen character to be his ideal partner – particularly due to her love of classical music and perfect alignment with his own interests. So, it’s with great pleasure that he discovers Jocelyn Jarvis is staying at the same hotel that he is, and he's determined to casually run into her at the bar.
As a relationship wildly takes off and Art finds himself gracing JayJay’s presence, he can’t believe his good fortune. Navigating workplace politics, Hollywood romance, and his own moral and ethical landscape, “Kassel’s in Air” is a humorous look at the reality of daydreams. Narrator, Daren Taylor, injects his own spin using entertaining voices, echoing thoughts, and comedic audio as he enchants the ear ways with Wolf’s words.
“Kassel’s in Air” lives out a dream romance, just as the curtain closes in around us. Showing us all the true nature of daydreams, as the wool is pulled from our eyes, Wolf once again teaches us a thing or two as we laugh alongside his fictional antics.
