Joe Williamson has loved Maggie Williams since high school, but he never was able to follow through on his affections. He just never put himself out there really in anything in his life; he works at his father's grocery store, as he has since he was 14, and tends to date women who are fine but don't really come close Maggie. Maggie wanted a relationship with Joe, but got tired of waiting for him to be who she though he was. She survived an abusive marriage, and now is trying to help other women escape their unhealthy marriages as well by opening a women's shelter while also pursuing her passion of becoming a chef.
Will Joe step out of his comfort zone and grow into more than he thought he could ever be? Will Maggie let go of her past and be able to trust again?
