Magic has all but disappeared, only the Devil himself, Piru has any magic left. Seven staff bearers and their protectors fight to restore balance, magic, and the light to the Devils Realm. Fighting the Devils soldiers all across an orange and black desert with the strong and kind Daniel, only to wake up in her bedroom. Was it just a dream? The darkness has overtaken Zandor, prophecy, and reality is a web of uncertain paths and demands on Marva. The devil himself and his army of soldiers are hunting her, but then she wakes up in her boringly normal life as a reservation agent. Was it all just a dream? Marva finds herself seeing shadows and feeling sick. Her relationship with Richard feels so strained after dreaming about the kind, good looking Daniel. After feeling cared for, valued and important in her dreams, she can't tolerate Richard's controlling behavior. When she closes her eyes she is transported to Zandor, a different realm across the universe. A land where magic, dragons and evil are the normal and Marva feels like she fits in and is important. She enjoys the adventures, but wonders if her time to Zandor is more than just a dream.
