This compelling, sharp, and humorous narration about a remarkable woman energizes this story in a way that makes you cheer for her as she clears hurdle after hurdle both personally and professionally. Julia brilliantly rises to stressful situations that I'm afraid all too many women will find familiar. Men in the corporate world and husbands everywhere should listen with some humility and check themselves lest they perpetuate any of the toxic masculinity or childish traits that Julia challenges and overcomes. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series!

Refreshing Empowered Heroine

This book is a totally engaging story about a confident, funny, high-powered and totally empowered woman dealing with inequities in a male-dominated field. She finds her way in the workplace as well as in love. I couldn’t put it down, wanting to know how it turned; Julia is such a believable character that I found myself wanting to meet her. Bravo Laura Preslan on this great novel - I hope there are many more.
