Multiple Personality Disorder is real. 'Julia' portrays the raw path of Multiple Personality Disorder, now known as Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). This journey is shared by the author and the client ‘Julia’ through the process of therapy, originally for the treatment of anxiety. The initial consultations develop unwittingly into a relationship of deep mutual trust and respect which blur the lines between patient and client. When Julia acknowledges she has a voice talking above the noise in her head, the real work begins. It is not long before a person appears from nowhere, surprising Julia and the therapist. Many more follow over a period of two and a half years. This turns into an expedition of discovery traveled by everyone, with the ultimate sole purpose of providing a place of safety and understanding. The journey concludes with an emotional and heart warming resolution.
