This unengaged 53% usually show up from 8 to 5, but do the minimum required. Job crafting is about taking tangible actions to reimagine and redesign what we do at work by changing tasks, relationships, and attitudes while staying in our current jobs. The main premise is that we can stay in the same role, getting more meaning out of our jobs simply by changing what we do and the why behind it. During the week, many of us spend a large portion of our waking hours at work. Also, a great deal of us consider it to be a battle, or if nothing else a burden to endure, anticipating the end of the week when we can accomplish more beneficial things.
