Raymond E. Feist
In this fantastic tale, legendary author Raymond E. Feist returns to the city of Krondor and one of his most loved characters from the Riftwar Cycle, Jimmy the Hand.
The Crawler: a name whispered in fear. . .
In the crime-ridden back alleys of Krondor a rival gang has sprung up to threaten the Upright Man’s Mockers. Does the Crawler control the rival gang? Where does his power come from? And does it threaten the peace of the Kingdom?
James, personal squire to Prince Arutha of Krondor, but in the underworld known as the thief and trickster Jimmy the Hand, must travel to Kesh in disguise. There, working with William, lieutenant of the prince’s household guard and son of the magician Pug, and Jazhara, niece to the Keshian lord Hazara-Khan, he must attempt to unmask the mysterious Crawler and rid Krondor of his influence.

I have read other reviews by listeners who felt that an American voice was better or that pronunciation of the narrators was incorrect. I disagree with those reviews. A reader really must understand the Krondor saga (my interest keened with the advent of the "Betrayal at Krondor" game in 1995), I did not hear or feel any disparity in the readings by Peter Joyce, Matt Bates or Tanya Rodrigues. I personally, thoroughly enjoyed their readings and/or interpretations of characters.
As for content, these stories may sometimes feel as though the plot stutters or lingers in pauses, but if one understands these worlds that Ray Feist created, they would realize that they are sagas, which consist of high and low points that culminate in a crescendo of the storyline, be it action, thrills or strategy.
If one has not partakes of these audiobooks, I highly recommend that they try "Jimmy the Hand", first. It is rather short as audiobooks go and a terrific introduction to "Magician Apprentice".
A good read

I listen to a lot of audio books and usually hate hate hate a reader change after many books in a series have been read by the same person. This started out that way for me, but Matt did a great job and I adjusted to his reading style fairly quickly. And is it pronounced AruTHA or Aruta, lol.
The book is good and consistent with the series, I felt entertained and engaged.
Good but short and feels like a money grab
