Before creating Jewtopia the play in 2003, Bryan Fogel and Sam Wolfson were unemployed actors and writers who couldn't get a break. Taking matters into their own hands, they wrote a play, maxed out their credit cards, and mounted the production themselves.
Jewtopia went on to become the longest-running original theatrical comedy in Los Angeles history. The show moved to off-Broadway in October 2004 and, as of the publication of this book, still plays nightly to sold-out audiences, with productions opening all over the world.
Now, for the first time in this book, Fogel and Wolfson are bringing their theatrical work to the comfort of your home.

It doesn't get any better than "Phone calls from Jewish mothers." Please keep in mind that this is a book written by Jews for Jews, and some segments may offend extremely devout born-again Christians. This Christian, however, loved it and hopes to someday get a chance to see the Broadway show. (Skip through the truly infantile chapter regarding human excrement- proof that Brian and Sam didn't let their mothers read the first draft before sending it off to the publisher. The rest of the book is great.)

I was hoping for good or light hearted humor - NOT
I was really disapointed to say the least. I found it silly - dumb. Listening to a real bad comedy with little substance, and really poor material. Just not worth the time to listen and at some point I had to turn it off. It just wasn't funny or amusing to me. I would not recommend this to anyone, and not recommend it as a gift. I'd skip it. It was unfortunate, as I was really hoping for some good ol Jewish laughter. They were the only ones laughing, and I'm not sure what was so funny.
