But I know better. My old master is coming for me, and Heathcliff...I can’t ever really move on without Heathcliff. I guess I won’t really need to, though. There’s no way I’m making it out of this alive.

Author's note: This is book three in the Pack of Misfits series. Every story is a stand-alone, but it is best if you start with Addie's book. Each book will have a different mate dynamic. (M/F, RH, or menage.) Intended for mature audiences 18 years and older. Expect a take-no-shit female, humor, heat, and plenty of action. This one is a wild ride.

Jetta

I enjoyed the storyline, but the reader seemed a bit like one of the “auto readers” for computers. Kinda robotic, with weird inflections.

Meh

I don't know. I was excited for this one because Jetta was so bada$$ in the other books but I was a little disappointed. She had her though chick moments but I couldn't wrap my head around her wanting to be dominated when she has such a dominant personality. There's a way to write dominant play that makes it sexy as hell but it just felt wrong with Jericho and Jetta. He goes from loving her dominance and the fact that she can beat the hell out of him to demanding that she submit to him when it doesn't suit him at all to play that role. The sex talk was just... ugh too and the way he kept saying very publicly that he was going to spank her for talking back to him like she couldn't snap him like a twig if she wanted and he knew she wasn't comfortable with the pack knowing what was going on. I don't know. Not my favorite paring ever.

I also feel like the opportunity to write a truly strong female character was lost here. Like I said, Jetta had her moments but she also had a lot of weak squishy moments. Honestly, I think Addie was stronger than she was sometimes. So that was a bit of a letdown too.

As for the narrator, I just didn't care for her voice. Especially when she narrated the guys.

Love the misfits series!

So I’m already a fan of Raven Kennedy’s work, but I ABSOLUTELY love what she did with the misfits series.
Jetta’s story teaches us how we can grow and be stronger because of our past traumas. Her and Jericho’s relationship is so full of the back and forth banter I ate it up!
The story is fun and not too predictable.
My only complaint is the narrator did sound robotic at times. This didn’t take away from the story for me, though.

I am always disappointed when females narrate male and vice versa. Story was alright. could have used better sex scenes and more often.
