This amazing book tracks the elusive uncle of Jesus. We find without Cleopas, everything would have been substantially different. Apostles would have been different; Jesus may not have been able to go on his missionary mission; Cleopatra VIII's reign in Israel would have been different; and Jesus' birth would have been different. On and on we could go as Cleopas-ben-Jacob, brother of Joseph, and uncle of Jesus, held the entire family together. Its no wonder, Jesus, Mary Magdalene, all his disciples, all his brothers, and so many other special people were invited and came to the wedding feast of Simon-Cleopas in Cana. Cleopas and Joseph were required to marry princesses and they did just that, but, Joseph's wife died and he was given a new wife who would be the birth-mother of the incarnate God. Cleopas, Joseph's brother had a similar beginning, marrying a princess in Herod's court, but I'm telling you too much. You will love this book and your eyes will be opened, I guarantee. The joke Jesus perpetrated on his old uncle, Cleopas, after his resurrection said so much. In the Gospel of Luke, we find Jesus, in a different body, pretended never to have heard of himself and his uncle kept trying to get this strange man to believe in Jesus-- it just wasn't happening. This little incident shows two things; Jesus loved this man deeply and Jesus loved playing jokes on people; especially those intimate with him.
