I actually bought a copy of Jesus Calling at a local thrift store along with about 10 other Bibles after President Donald J Trump held a Bible up in front of that burned out church that was attacked by rioters. I went to church when I was younger and was mostly spiritual in my early twenties and have now turned back to the Bible, realizing how much what the spirituality I was experiencing was just God repackaged. I am so drawn to the Bible and I am a believer. anyway, I later heard in an interview on YouTube with Kayleigh MacEnany that she had said a prayer from this book. I noticed my Goodwill copy didn't list the actual scriptures but this one does, and I figured verbally spoken it could be soothing. thanks to the author! I do believe this is the way Jesus and God would speak to us based on the scripture and gut feeling, I don't think it's blasphemous at all. it brings me closer to God to envision my relationship and it helps me with my sense of calm... I bought this because others in the reviews said it would soothe and comfort them. don't forget that the Bible is divinely inspired and while this author is not rewriting or adding to the Bible, it's the spiritual translation of the principles of Jesus and promises from God that are right there in the Bible, it's a way to build a relationship with God to imagine he's right there saying these things TO YOU that He already says in the Bible. I don't think it's wacky at all

Jesus Calling, Enlightening & Loving

Jesus Calling, the book, was gifted to me in 2008 & has been a constant companion. I found it on Audio Books & listen daily along with Sarah Young's other Books. I don't know how, but so many days it's EXACTLY what I need to hear! Her words are truly inspired by Gog!

content amazing but not voice

I absolutely love this book and I read it as well. I was really wanting to listen to the audible as well but the person's voice just somehow isn't soothing or reflective. it sounds more emotionless and a narrative. I didn't enjoy that.
