There was a lot of unrealistic luck for some characters, but solid, accurate combat advice (via fiction) about actual battle. The political backstory was a bit hokey, but also accurate in the macro sense. I recommend it as a solid primer to what can happen and how things may unfold in a Worst Case Scenario situation here in the US. Also a fair instruction manual to some degree.
