Jeeps, Gun Racks, Fine Wine and the Grand Jury

In 1994 The Grand Jury of Yuba County played politics hooking up with a right-wing militia group with an axe to grind against a fine wine sipping fine arts loving yuppie cult situated in the middle of red-neck foothill country by taking control of the grand jury process to blast the local planning and building department and by publishing an explosive defamatory Grand Jury Report with the intention of changing the outcome of the county election and stirring up the citizenry and making news throughout California. The fiasco that ensued started a lawsuit that ended up changing state law to reign in renegade grand juries.
