Maybe for those who don’t know the story

I have always planned to read/hear Jane Eyre so I wanted to get the gist and this suits.
My prior knowledge is from “The Eyre Affair” by Jasper Fforde which I commend to everyone. Especially if you can get the abridged Elizabeth Sastre reading.

I love Jane Eyre- but not this

I don't like the adaptation or the audio. The sounds are frequently jarring, voices unpleasant, the beginning is out of order and if I didn't know the story already, I'd have trouble following it. I enjoy the narrated audio book and could listen to it over and over. This however, I have returned promptly.

A Joke

There's so much overacting and cheesy devices like background chanting it does not do Jane Eyre justice.
