Eleven-year-old Jack’s ordinary life is upended when he is whisked into a fantastical adventure filled with danger. Jack learns that most people live in a shadow of the world, their vision blinded by invisible scales. But the Awakened experience the world as it truly is and are searching for the Child of Prophecy who will both save the world and destroy it. When Jack joins the battle, he must learn to trust his friends and face his fears if he is to make his life count.

Excellent reading by Joel N. Clark
The reading of this audiobook was fantastic. Joel provided realistic and downright frightening voices for all the characters. It was like listening to a movie and I could easily imagine the characters and scenes in my head.

Exciting; Sobering
This is a parable that all Christians can learn from; How we don't follow God's instruction, and expose ourselves to the hatred of The adversary
and his accusations designed to get us to harm ourselves, and one another, what happens when we don't trust God's Word, and how easy it is for us to let our emotions control us, causing destruction to all around! Read it for spiritual maturation, and you'll be inspired and humbled as well.
