Joni Ackerman’s decision to raise children, 25 years ago, came with a steep cost. She takes solace, of sorts, in the novels of Patricia Highsmith—particularly the masterpiece Strangers on a Train, with its duplicitous characters and their murderous impulses—until the lines between reality and fantasy become blurred.

Invisible Woman is at once a literary thriller about the lies we tell each other (and ourselves) and a powerful psychological examination of the complexities of friendship, marriage, and motherhood.

Excellent writing!!

Great story and good narration! I can’t believe this is the first book of hers that I have listened to. I am hooked this will not be my last!!

Basic

I didn’t get it. The main plot line was based on current events but the story was nonsensical to me. There were elements that didn’t make sense like the hallucinations the main character has. It never really connected in my opinion.
