A fantastic way to step up your French

My French has never been perfect, and I don't expect it ever will be. But, reaching conversational fluency has been my goal and these stories certainly helped me with that. I never got the opportunity to practice my French on a consistent basis. So when speaking French out loud with the help of the companion document I was able to improve my pronunciation. Now I'm going to role play with some of my French speaking friends.

Well done

The outer space stories were the most memorable for me. It was like I was a little kid again while learning without a care in the world. Some good life lessons mixed in with some French comprehension. Two thumbs up.

Interesting way to learn a language

Ya'll did a damn good job on these stories. Just what I needed. I don't get to practice much French, so this tickled my itch for some good learning material.

Well Worth Listening To

This is the third title I've gotten from Touri, and like the others, it didn't disappoint. With good narration and a variety of new subjects and vocabulary, it has a lot to offer a student of French. Disclaimer: I was given this book free at my request in exchange for my honest review.

POORLY WRITTEN!

I purchased this book, and had some language questions so I showed the PDF to my French buddy. He skimmed the text and asked if I had paid money for the book. (Umm, yes). Apparently there are lots of typos in the PDF and, at least according to my buddy, somethings are just not well written -- meaning they are poorly worded. He did not read everything, but from what he saw he thought it was not a trustworthy study aid. To think, I would not have known the difference had I not asked him the question! Of course, only after I purchased it and read all of the positive Audible reviews did I notice that someone had written a similar negative complaint about typos on the Amazon site.

That said, I like the concept and the format, but if the actual content is untrustworthy, it is not worth it! Defective.
