An unknown and extremely aggressive virus has taken hold around the globe, threatening to completely eradicate the human race. But there is hope.

The governments of the world have begun to gather their top scientists, brilliant doctors such as James Malloy, in secure, underground laboratories called Arks, located in discrete areas of every major country. Here, under heavy guard by soldiers like Sergeant Jill Sharp, efforts are coordinated to find a vaccine that will combat the virus and save humanity.
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction, however, and as the brilliant minds fighting to save humanity make progress in their mission, another mission is uncovered, with devastating consequences.
