Great Conclusion

All the plot twists and political intrigue. I really enjoyed this conclusion. Detan has grown so much since the first book as we see he takes on more responsibility and care. Detan also plots and plans more.

The other characters have also grown. The friendships are strong. The characters are sometimes stuck chasing between no good choices.

The independency of the Hood Steading from the Valathean empire. The way the Empire exploits others and is controlled by those who are morally corrupt. Thratia may seem like the better option to go against them but she is her own brand of oppression. The working to create a truly free and democratic state where people have a voice.
