Auditor Julia McCoy pushed EthioCupro management too far. She knows the local managers have invested in a company named Incentivize LLC, and are using it as a tool to rake off profits from the Ethiopian subsidiary of mining giant Matrix Corporation. The threatened men arrange for Julia to have an "accident" during a weekend getaway. To their surprise, Julia survives, but ends up a prisoner of the East African terrorist organization al Shabab. While out of the way, Julia is still a threat, inspiring the owners of Incentivize to work to find a way to silence her - permanently.

The story is action packed, and the plot has enough twists an turns to keep the listener guessing.

What did you like best about this story?

The surprise ending.

Have you listened to any of Tom Spears’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I think this is actually his first narration.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not really. Some of the violent scenes did make me cringe a bit, however.

An excellent effort from this author/narrator. I'll look forward to future work from him.
