What does perfection look like? Not the sterile, airless perfection of a photograph or a polished surface, but the perfection of a world made whole—where every broken thing is mended, every absence filled, every wound healed.

This collection is an act of imagining. Each poem begins with the same four words: "In a perfect world." What follows is not escapism, but a kind of holy longing—a way of naming what we miss, what we've lost, what we've never had but somehow know should exist.

These poems are prayers without religion, blueprints without architects, dreams without sleep. They are the articulation of grief in reverse: instead of mourning what is gone, they celebrate what could be. And in that celebration, perhaps we find the courage to build toward it.

The structure is simple: 100 meditations on absence and presence, organized into nine movements that progress from the personal to the universal, from the body to the spirit, from the earth to the eternal. Each poem stands alone, yet together they form a vision of wholeness.

Read them slowly. Let them accumulate. Notice what rises in you as you move through them—whether it's hope or heartbreak, yearning or peace. Both responses are true.

This is not a map to perfection. It is a mirror held up to our deepest wishes, and in that reflection, we might glimpse not only what we long for, but who we truly are.
