In The Land Of My Enemy

Harlan "Red" Roosevelt, easy going Sheriff of the tiny mountain town of Mitchelville, West Virginia, is forced to deal with what might be a homicide just outside of town. Thought not a skilled investigator, he soon realizes that what he's facing is something not quite human. In order to solve the mystery he has to venture up to the stark, forbidding wilderness of the sweeping mountains that loom over the small town. There he encounters something impossible, which might shatter the world's understanding of the universe and call into question what it means to be human.
