Excellent Review of the World’s Recent Financial History

Brady does a wonderful job at analyzing the world’s financial markets and showing how important it is for us to learn from history to make our future even better than our past. Content is well researched and thought provoking.

Very well-composed and paced, imparts great sense

This compact work shines a light of clarity on recent times. I have heard most of the pieces told here somewhere, but, listening, many times I found myself thinking, this best ties it together. I got a new, sharper sense of where these regional economies came from, and are heading. Also, the financial and governmental institutions most affecting these paths are very well described. I admire a great editing job. Brevity is special, and not easy to pull off. I didn't feel like a minute of my time was wasted here. I feel better prepared to assess my own situation, choices, prospects, and risks. Finally, I feel I saved a lot of time and money by finding so much here in one place. The author's narration, like the writing, lacks fanfare and gets to the point.

The economic stories every American should know

Great listen! This book offers a historical perspective on why governments make certain economic policy decisions. The author is also part of a popular economic podcast called “Domino.”

Fantastic! Economic history at its best!

Really well done. Phenomenal account of economic events, both small and large, that have shaped our current financial state globally. Easy to read or listen to whether inside the financial industry or a novice trying to expand your knowledge for an upcoming cocktail party. Highly recommend.

Good but not great

The book in my opnion is too technical for people who have no idea about economics like myself, the story line is ok but not really that interesting and somewhat unrelated, requires concentration throughout the book just to keep up with what's being said like you're in an actual economics class.
