They summoned Detective Frank Salino and his husband, K9 Officer James Reed, from their warm bed to investigate a "crisper." The immolated corpse, seemingly unidentifiable, marked just the onset of grisly murders committed by spectral figures in the LGBT village of Warren Beach. The Feds claim involvement by Mexican drug cartels or MS-13. Salino, his colleagues, and the village newspaper find this "alternate truth" unbelievable.If he has an chance of solving these crimes and chasing the "ghosts" down, Salino will need to enlist his usual cadre from the Department, his contacts in the Bureau, and even The Family in an unauthorized operation.
