Today, Susie has the real story behind Playboy's decision to discontinue the centerfold. The world is abuzz with the news that the leading gentrifier of "girlie mags" will no longer publish nude photos. Playboy claims that their magazine has lost "shock value, commercial value and cultural relevance" due to the easy access to porn the Internet provides. Susie sees it differently: It's more about looking for more international outlets, ones that won't allow nudity but condone - and really like - titillation.
Next, are dildos more dangerous than guns? Susie reads from an article by Hannah Smothers at fusion.net about a University of Texas at Austin student who is protesting school policy that makes it okay to carry a gun but forbidden to carry a dildo. A new law that goes into effect in 2016, called Campus Carry, will allow students to carry guns. Our protester has created Campus (Dildo) Carry to point out the absurdity that guns are allowed but sex toys aren't.
