You've heard of Anaïs Nin, the free-spirited feminist intellectual, but have you heard of Bern Porter? Susie starts of today's show with a look at one man's wild recounting of his supposedly wild sex life with Nin. Susie found this strange story at the blog Thinking of Anais Nin (blog.anaisnin.com), where the blogger considers if Bern was making this up or really had a torrid affair. Porter Bern was a physicist turned publicist who wrote a book called I Pursue Her Still.

Next, Susie has another article to share, from Nerve.com, and this one is seriously sad, but very important: "What Terry Richardson Tells Me About the Grey Line of Consent" by Lux Alptraum. Richardson is a photographer of many celebrities and teen models. It seems he likes to have sex with everyone, allegedly whether or not they want to, and Alptraum says young careers are on the line if the girls refuse. She lays out all the unfortunate details of how damaging a rape culture, hidden as "it's part of the job", can be.
