This book peers at the terror of death through a peculiar prism: the inner continuity of consciousness. On one side stands the brute fact of biological extinction, cold and uncompromising. The path to freedom from fear, then, lies not in eternity-as-continuation but in eternity-as-fullness. Live each moment completely, and there is nothing left to vanish from.
