Internet romance woven within the politics of the globe. The microcosm of the macrocosm and back.
A Facebook connection brings two people together for a journey neither is sure they want to take. Divorce? Dealing with narcissistic personality disorder? Mormon versus Catholic beliefs? When they meet, they know their souls have waited lifetimes, but the entanglements of marriage and biases, coupled with the politics in America, make falling in love easy, but staying in love a challenge.

What would have made Ilyr better?
The author seemed very angry at another person she wanted to be her lover and was rejected. She is very angry at the Obama administration and uses her book to state her unfounded biases. She is confused about relationships, religion, and the role of counselor/teacher.What do you think your next listen will be?
Something that leaves me less upset.Which character – as performed by Kimberly Henrie – was your favorite?
She delivers the author convictions accurately. If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Ilyr?
The whole book was difficult, the author seems to be really struggling with her own identity. As a counselor she had her own agenda from the beginning in this relationship which she denied, At points she stated she was acting as a counselor and at other times as a lover. The children in her book, John and Jason, she directly cause these individuals to deteriorate and then took credit for saving. Her form of education is very controlling and scary. She is doing exactly what she blames the Obama administration of doing.
Any additional comments?
This seems to be a very confused person. She doesn't have insight into the harm she was doing to the young people in her book. She had no sense of boundaries. At the end she didn't seem to have any insight into her own behavior and why the relationship failed. Not at all a story about love.
