If I Lived A 1000 Years are poems that are wrote about life issues. People are losing their lives due to various reasons. Some it’s because of their lifestyle of food they eat, drinking alcohol, smoking drugs and crime. Some it’s because of sickness and diseases.

We used to hear the words “I’m too young to die”. Nowadays one does not hear these words anymore because the sting of death is vicious. But God is still in charge of this life. God is still in control.

There are people in our country who are over 90 years are healthy. One old lady turned hundred in December 2022. She can still walk, bath herself, feed herself and all other basic things that most people can do. She does not think or talk about death as a matter of fact she lives one day at a time.

Recently a Zimbabwean young man committed suicide because his wife left him for another man. He loved her and spent over R200 000 on a car and her other needs. One young lady tried to advise him that there are faithful women out there and he could find one of them. Unfortunately he took his life. He wrote a suicide note, said his goodbye to friends and killed himself. His friends thought he was joking. He had various casual jobs and was making money. He hanged himself in the back room he was renting. When his wife found him hanging she laughed and taunted him. People were shocked by her behavior.
