Robert William Case
Come back to an age of goddesses, heroes, and men. Long ago on a beautiful island in the Eastern Mediterranean, a famous Bronze Age inventor named Daedalus created working wings. Naturally, inevitably, he had to test them. Since flight is something we all long for, deep down in our souls, he made two pair: one for himself and another for his son. It could have been his life's work, a masterpiece, but, Icarus had a different idea. Icarus and the Wing Builder is a inspirational recreation of the ancient myth, a story of freedom, romance, slavery, and coming of age on the Minoan sailing ships of ancient Greece. Find out what really happened in the sky that day!

What did you love best about Icarus and the Wing Builder?
Author Robert Case narrates a timeless tale that is as relevant today as it was 4,000 years ago. It is mythology, but with a modern twist. Icarus and the Wing Builder has a subtext about man’s relationship to technology as well as his relationship to the Gods and with himself. It’s rare for an author to have such a rich voice. It is worth getting the audio version just to listen to Rob’s melodious baritone. What was one of the most memorable moments of Icarus and the Wing Builder?

What did you love best about Icarus and the Wing Builder?
The narration is masterful. The author has a terrific "radio voice". It enlightened me about many aspects of ancient Greek life, customs and relationships. While the flight plays a central role, it is not the central subject of the book. It explores the depths of the relationship between Daedalus, two Kings, a courtesan, and of course, his son Icarus. How far are you willing to go to secure your child's happiness? How much are you willing to sacrifice? Daedalus shows us over and over, how to live a meaningful life. What was one of the most memorable moments of Icarus and the Wing Builder?
The voyage on the ship and how Daedalus's relationship begins to develop with his son, and the discovery of his deep deception and consequent oath. The vivid descriptions of a world long gone.Which scene was your favorite?
The trust of Daedalus of his invention and the courage to take the leap into the void, towards flight and the twist at the end.If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Soaring love story of the relationship between a devoted father and his adventurous son.Any additional comments?
This book was hard to put down because of the great narration, the engaging central characters and the voyage of discovery into a distant past. The relationship of father and son given new wings
