IPv4 IPv6 Technology and Implementation

The internet has played a transformative role in shaping modern civilization, and the next generation will continue to benefit from and expand upon this vast contribution of technological knowledge. At the heart of this revolution lies the Internet Protocol (IP)—the essential foundation of computer networking. Without IP, communication across digital devices, data sharing, and global connectivity would not be possible.

In this book, I explore the fundamentals and advanced concepts of Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) and Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6). I provide clear explanations of their structures, functions, and how these two technologies relate to one another. Readers will find detailed discussions on the advantages, disadvantages, and key differences between IPv4 and IPv6, offering valuable insights into why the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 is necessary for the future of networking.

Beyond theory, this book also demonstrates the implementation of IPv4 and IPv6 technologies through network design, configuration, and testing.
