Murder, false arrests, her business on the brink...
But if anyone's ready for the unexpected, it's a wedding planner.
After being dumped by her fiancé, let go from her job and dealing with the passing of her beloved aunt, Leah has picked up the pieces and returned to Ashford, Ohio to take over her family’s wedding planning business.
She quickly learns the business is not doing well and could close in a few months. She jumps in with both feet and focuses on an upcoming wedding for a local wealthy socialite which could be their saving grace.
Everything seems to be falling into place until the night of the rehearsal dinner, when someone ends up dead and Leah’s best friend is the number one suspect.
With the help of her friends, a handsome local detective, and a sexy private investigator, will Leah be able to catch the killer and clear her best friend’s name before they strike again, or will there be an unhappily ever after?

The cats were a great side piece and I adored their names!
I liked the writing style and dialogue. It was an easy read and flowed well. The narrator also did a good job in getting all those emotions expressed well.
I thought the mystery was good overall and overall I enjoyed the read. I did have some content concerns that I’ve listed below.
Content concerns:
Immodest talk of underwear (male and female) ch 2 I found the cat grabbing unmentionables funny and had to laugh but thought it maybe went a little far after.
Immodest portrayal of man upper half of body in shower (intrusive thought of the FMC). I mean I get this happens, but I felt maybe a little too detailed on the chest. I personally would’ve preferred less details.
Mention of impure dancing at a club or bar and a man caught cheating in that way.
I’m a visual learner so I did find some of these a bit much imo, least the male ones. I also would’ve been really annoyed with a guy being cheeky flirtatious with me like that Caleb guy was with the FMC who he hardly knew. I mean physical attraction is fine but man don’t need to say everything that comes into your mind haha 🙈😂 But I did like him a little more when he got all protective. And there were some cute moments between them. The worm scene was hilarious.
OMG used a few times, which I wasn’t the biggest fan of either of course.
Again, overall I enjoyed it!

Content notes: Mild profanity is sprinkled in (mostly “OMG” not abbreviated, plus a couple of other small curses). There are also a couple of vague, “off-screen” references to private encounters, phrased in a tongue-in-cheek way. A murder is part of the story, with a light mention of blood, though nothing graphic.
A fun option for cozy mystery fans who enjoy strong narration.
I received an Audible code to listen to this audiobook, but all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.
