We wish we would have known half of the things we wrote in this book before marriage. However, since we know more now, why not spread the knowledge?
Marriage…this word holds so many definitions and various truths for people. Many people may equate marriage with happiness, the end goal, the worst thing you can do to yourself, or the best thing that can happen in life. Whatever your definition, marriage is, first and foremost, a commitment. Commitment literally means dedication to a thing or a person, regardless of inconveniences, trying times, unmet expectations, etc. However, many people don't think about these things when it comes to marriage. We get it. Who would think about those things? They seem like a bit of a turn-off, right? But they do exist, and they will come up in marriage sooner or later.
So, if you are thinking about marriage, are engaged, or are already married, this book is for you. In I Do. I Don't. I Don't Know., we tackle the importance of having a firm foundation in God's word so that you can be equipped and prepared to handle the not so appealing side of marriage. If you begin to build on your foundation now, no matter which stage of life you are in, you and your spouse/future spouse could have one up on how to handle the various storms that will test your marriage.
We share our own personal stories and lessons so that you can understand just how important having a root in the word of God is. Having a root will not only grow you and your spouse, but bring to light exactly what marriage is and how to succeed.
