There once was an F.B.I. agent who worked very hard to be the very best. Every day, Jeff Ridgely would exceed all the expectations his bureau chiefs placed on him. His efforts helped him rise quickly through the ranks. Bigger and better things were surely in store.

One day, a new agent came on board. Despite Jeff’s diligent efforts, Cadie Latrobe was better than him at every aspect of the job. As such, she threatened to rise through the ranks more quickly than he already had to eventually pass him by.

The night of her first field op, Cadie made a rash mistake. This resulted in Jeff’s death along with that of another agent, Roger Peters. The injuries she sustained in the busted op resulted in traumatic blindness which forced her to leave her job.

For five sightless years, she struggled to reinvent her life. Using her profiling skills, she began to find her way as Cadie Loving, psychic advisor. She’d almost accepted the uneventful obscurity of her exile… until the ghosts of Jeff and Roger showed up determined to set the past right by making her help bring their assailants to justice.
