Dr Taylor has had many experiences with the "Visitors" and at one time taught contemporary issues in parapsychology. She also taught Human Sexuality courses and did sex research at the Center for Marital and Sexual Studies. The style is light and enjoyable with a sense of humor. Dr. Barbie J. Taylor was known more affectionately as “Dr. Barbie” to her friends and clients. She graduated from the University of Washington in 1978 with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, then began the first phase of her career as the Research Coordinator at the Center for Marital and Sexual Studies in Long Beach, California, where she also began her private practice as a clinical psychologist. Preferring to be “on the move,” ultimately she taught two hundred psychology students Human Sexual Behavior at Arizona State University, and an extension class at the University of West Virginia on Contemporary Issues in Parapsychology. She was in private practice in California, Arizona, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Nevada. While in the east, Dr. Barbie became a regular on television and radio as well. She continued doing radio as one of the “Romance Doctors” in Irvine, California. Dr. Barbie moved to Nevada in 1992, while employed as a private consultant for the Bigelow Foundation, which was funding parapsychological research. Her job was to find the world’s greatest psychic medium. She chose George Anderson, and referred Mr. Bigelow to him. Mr. Bigelow ultimately funded some of George Anderson’s research. She also did research during the 90s with CSETI (Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence), with Dr. Steven Greer. She retired as a psychologist in 2014 after more than thirty years in practice, and moved to Pahrump, Nevada, where she enjoyed her remaining years writing full-time. Dr. Barbie made her transition on August 21, 2017.
