Very concise for what is needed for ministry today

I thought this beautiful and would like to incorporate many of these ideas into my ministry to help with things stat have gone wrong over time.

Wow what a message

This is such a good read! It gave a lot of insight to things that go on in our churches that people are unaware of. Definitely worth the time to crack open.

Truth!

Every word of this book is practical truth that every church member NEEDS to hear. Every church should make this book required reading for any membership track or class. Every new church member should be given a copy of this book by the local church they join, and every church looking to revitalize and replant should give a copy of this book its current members. Pastor Thom gives us the cold, hard, yet necessary truth about what it means to be a church member. Eye opening to say the least, this practical teaching gives pastors the tools necessary to teach their congregations what is to be expected of them and implores them to change their perspective from that of inwardly-focused, self-serving and selfish individuals to outwardly-focused, servant-minded and Christlike church MEMBERS. This is also a must read for any pastor called to revitalize and/or replant a church.

Excellent read for congregations

This was an excellent book. I recommend Pastors to have their congregations read this in unity as our church did. It is sure to kill the spirit of discord and entitlement that some may have. It gives a clear biblical picture of the gift of being a part of the Body of Christ and local church.

Essential reading for every church member

This is an essential paradigm shift in this age of consumer driven Churches. A must read!

Excellent book

Short easy read but great depth and content. I highly recommend this book. Good biblical references and concept that church membership is a gift is wonderful.
