Loved the engaging narrator. Easy to listen to and follow.

Family interaction in this story was compelling and easy to relate to. Not too sappy.

Delightful!

Daniella is a well-known romance author who has suffered a lot of trauma in her young life. When she's stressed, she has a tendency to confuse the people in real life with those that she creates in her novels. When both worlds bleed over, she sees her characters and not the real person. It's a great premise and it's quite well-done, but it causes a major problem the next time Daniella is traumatized. Huntley Young is a firefighter and he's called on to save Daniella's life by keeping her from running back into her burning house. Of course, after the stress begins to take over, she's confusing Huntley with her book hero Jake. It's clever and it certainly points out how PTSD can be so destructive, but as Stacy Eaton always does, it's written beautifully.
The narration by Catherine Royce was very well-done. Her clear, dynamic voice, steady pace and intonation gave each of the characters a unique personality and attitude.

Great story!

I loved listening to this story, I felt that Daniella is so relatable and the voice actor has such a soothing voice that I felt like I was emotionally attached to the story. I Can't wait for the next book!

Huntley & Dani!

This is a fun one! Stacy Eaton continues her Loving a Young series with Huntley. He is quite the man! Going to a house fire, he helps Daniela get out, save her dog and find a place to stay. Now she is staying with his parents and this is the last thing she wants. She moved to town to hide after being stalked by a fan. As a famous romance author, she never thought someone would become obsessed with her, and starting over in a small town where no one knows her seems perfect, until the house fire. Now she has people fussing over her, and she is getting a taste of what it's like to be living in this particular small town. She and Huntley have taken a liking to each other, but she still holds secrets, which may just be the breaking tie between them. Plus, the danger is still lurking and she feels that need to flee. What happens? Eaton is a master at the small town suspense romance, and I am all in for this. The fun the women have with the books, the fantastic dog and the building of feelings had me, but then the thrills come and I am a goner. I couldn't stop listening. It's nonstop action and fun.

Cathryn Royce voices this gem and it's amazing. I love a great narrator and she brings this one alive. Looking forward to more.
