GREAT PREMISE FELL SHORT

HUNTING FOR LOVE is the second book in the UnBearable Romance series. Though each will stand on their own, they will make more sense if read in the order of release.

Great premise, but I could never get to where I liked Lucy. I did like Jon. He is sweet, patient, caring, and romantic. There is a lot of emotion, but it doesn’t seem to go anywhere.

As much as I love bear shifters, I will not be looking to continue this series.

Narration – 2 crowns: I am glad to say this is the last book I have in my library that is read by Nicole Blessing and I will not pick up another one. No matter how much I love the author or the series that will be a reason to hard pass on a book. She has a pleasant voice, but a monotone delivery that is drier than the Sahara. After several books, I can say I have given her an honest chance to show improvement and growth and I’ve seen little to none. Neither I nor the other people on the turnpike need me to fall asleep at 70mph.

A Good Story

I had a bit harder time connecting to this book and characters. The storyline flowed but just wasn't quite enough to keep my attention.

Can Jon save Lucy from herself?

We start with Lucy pouting because her brother wasn't at work. She blows off work and goes wandering around town. She has a problem with her bear and refuses to shift, to the point she's getting sick. Jon's in town with friends when he meets Lucy and they hit it off. He's fascinated with her and wants to help. I thought Lucy was very childish. Jon was really sweet and needed to be needed after his surprising breakup. I have the next one and will love to know more.
