Unexpected Trouble

Hunt’s men are called to the town of Akron to resolve a murder of a ranch hand by a neighboring ranch owner’s son and prevent a range war.
Traveling twenty miles to the train depot after the arrest allows the killer’s father time to gather his ranch hands and reach them before the train arrives to carry them to Denver.
Deputy Asa Davis telegraphs Hunt and asks for help. A gun battle occurs prior to Hunt’s arrival resulting in the rancher and several of his cowhands being shot.
Hunt gets an alarming telegram that bandits have attempted to steal many cattle from his Green Rive ranch resulting in two of his men being killed.
