Resumen del Editor

Whether offered at colleges, to businesses or corporations, or to the public, seminars can be a huge income booster for any speaker. Better yet, they are a great way to start or try new material. In one hour, Burgett provides the bedrock basics, then focuses on the right subject, a fetching description and grabber title, and how to find the right market or sponsor. Replace risk with profit while filling in those unbooked days each month.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a live recording of an interview-format teleseminar focused on information that would be valuable for speakers, trainers, consultants, coaches, and other information entrepreneurs. It was recorded via telephone.

A Helpful Start

It's a recording of a telephone conference Q/A session with Gordon Burgett. The interviewer stumbles a lot and it's distracting at first that she sounds so unprepared and unpolished. Gordon shares straight forward helpful tips. It's brief. I am going to purchase a book on the topic to get way more details but it's a start.

Unprepared Facilitator and Incomplete Inforamation

What disappointed you about How to Set Up and Market Your Own Seminar?

The female facilitator was unprepared and a bit unprofessional. Although Gordon's talk was informative, I needed more information. The facilitator continued to ask him for details on how he was successful, but he keeps deferring her question by promising to reveal a Website where the listeners can obtain the information. Near the end he finally gave out the Website, but as of today in 2013 (audio was created in 2004), 9 years later, those Websites don't exist. Very disappointing.

Would you be willing to try another book from Gordon Burgett? Why or why not?

Yes. Because he knows what he's talking about (when he gives it).

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Gordon's voice was fin on the recording.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment.

Any additional comments?

Books that do not deliver on promised because they are outdated, should be removed so that the author or publisher does not continue to profit from them.
