Good insight on Dodgers system

I really enjoyed getting a better understanding of how the Dodgers are using data and getting their edge. Very cool!

The book kind of trailed off a bit towards the end. Too much detail on Bauer and arbitration (and a bit too political). I sped up the book through those parts. Solid book though.

Underwhelming. Gets Political Towards the Ending

I'm a Dodgers fan and was expecting a critique of baseball, but instead, the book mainly summarized the players' Wikipedia entries. Unfortunately, the author's injection of politics into the narrative towards the end ruined it for me. Maybe sail the seven seas for this one.

Wrong Title

I am a Dodgers fan, and I enjoyed learning the backstories of the players and the organization.

But there was no critique about how baseball is broken. No real analysis about how analytics is making the game boring. You get this in the introduction and that's it.

I think the author is too close to the organization and needed a third person to tell him he was too hyperfocused on what great things the Dogers are doing.
