Rumors of a mysterious union of principalities are rife, the wild lands are restless, and Savino's rapid growth is drawing envious eyes all around the Novgorod Empire.

But, frankly, I'm more worried about:

  • installing mains water*
  • building new dormitories*
  • crop sowing*
  • gathering pearls and monster hides*

"Kate, what do the red asterisks in the list mean?"

"Those things needed doing yesterday."

serious review though I have to say this is probably the best book in the series The mind games in this book are incredible not to mention the abilities he uses he finally starts to use his vast knowledge and abilities to surrepititiously defeat his enemies and I have to say it's quite refreshing to see instead of just constantly being on the defense.... he literally uses his powers to set up one of his enemies in the craziest way possible....

and his snarky attitude throughout the series is honestly one of the best qualities about his character

I like to be fair so I will give a small critique I don't like the writers going from scene to scene in intense moments You're in the middle of an intense battle only for you to go right back to the town to some not important matter going on The writer did this in the last two books and it's not very enjoyable when it happens in this book but it's not worth not getting it trust me this is definitely the best book in this series and if you've read book wanted to you're going to like this in my opinion it's easily my favorite one

other than that as well there are two coincidences that happen in this book I'm not a fan of Deus ex machina or Goobers or whatever you call them I don't like when coincidences that add to the plot show up for no reason And we happen to have two in the story that aren't going to be explained by anything other than the writer adding them in basically giant wandering Crystal shows up in the middle of a massive city no warning and no one showing up to stop it except the main character who just comes across it by coincidence... One should be fine but when you add too many it starts to take away and I also don't like the reporter at the very end of the book which had multiple sexual innuendos literally for what seemed to be no good reason sure there were a few in the book but have no idea why there would be one at the very end just what seems to be a pointless addition...

first......lol

the first one was really good, the second book was decent, but this one just kind of struggles to keep the story going. also there were too many bitches in the book, I mean the girls were called people bitches, the guys were calling people's bitches, the main character gets attacked and calls the Monster a bitch, it was just a little too much and felt like someone was saying it in every chapter. I'll still get the next book and hopefully it's better than this one

not as good as the first two
