Excellent story

Fantastic storyline, hilarious characters and such a sad ending. I hope there is more coming!

Great plot wonderfully narrated

Super witty and funny writing, albeit somewhat predictable at times (not always though). David Thorpe is imho one of the best narrators, giving many of the characters their own distinct and recognizable personalities.

He Did It Again!

Yet another fine book by Adrian Tchaikovsky. Fantasy realms meets world war level conflict, meetd the Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH). Sprinkle in a few deminished god's to the mix in a violently atheist population and some interesting things are going to happen. I highly recommend.

Great climax

everything came together in such a satisfying way, the world building is so dense and intriguing. Similar humor and writing style to Terry Pratchett, would read again. Also loved the Narrator, great voices and switching accents

Best book of the series so far, and this is my favorite series.

Absolutely fantastic expansion of the series' characters and universe. It's just utterly delightful and intriguing.

Great ending

The characters were wonderful and so were the voices. But the ending was best…part foreseeable satisfaction and part surprise whose groundwork was the entire book to that point.

Fun Story with Excellent Narration

I enjoyed the first book but this one was a knockout. The first book was very heavy on the word building and it pays off in book 2 which focuses on the characters. If you enjoy stories revolving around found family, fantasy, and humor then you'd like this book.

Not what I expected

I thoroughly enjoyed this audio book. The story was interesting and the voice performance was fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone who appreciates dark comedy.

Hold on and listen up

Wow, what an epic series!! bounces around a bit with a , you really must be paying attention to witness the one line that changes everything and doesn't get referenced again. classic.

Fav parts or the 8-9 conversations with God. absoluty brilliant! Same masterstroke in previous book.
