Great info, hard to follow when narrated.

Would you listen to Homicide & True Crime Stories of 2017 again? Why?

I believe I would listen to this book again. I am sure i missed some things and it had many stories and enough details that were important.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

The part about Manson. The narrator seemed more into the story and was able to tell more of his range. It sounded like a news report otherwise but my main concern is how it was structured made it hard to follow each story. I could not tell if it was a new story or not sometimes. I am sure reading it would be easy.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

It was read appropriately as a news story.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Made me more worried and sad more than moved.

Any additional comments?

It was a good listen. Learned about some cases I did not know about. Looka like other reviewers gave it one star just for one comment about Trump. I don't begrudge anyone with an opinion and it is sad that some would not look at the book as a whole.

How Soon We Forget

It’s a sad commentary on our times that I don’t remember some of these horrific events even though they are hardly a year old. We have become so desensitized to multiple and mass murders than, unless they involve dozens of victims, we seem to forget them and move on.

“Homicide & True Crime Stories of 2017; Annual True Crime Anthology” delivers on it’s promise of reviewing, chronologically, the horrible crimes of 2017. Crisply written and read, “Homicide & True Crime Stories of 2017; Annual True Crime Anthology” is well worth the listen.

Great read

Many of these stories I have heard about and cringed when I heard them again. But many I had not heard about it makes me shutter to know there are so many sick people living among us.

so much crime

This "book" was wonderful. I didn't realize all the crime that took place in 2017 and this book makes you think twice about life. True life crime is my favorite and this podcast styke book was great. Ripped from the headlines literally. I loved this book. I received this book for free for an honest review.

Fascinating

Disturbing and horrific true stories that keep you hooked up until the very end. I highly recommend this.

THE Murder Yearbook . . .

I actually loved this books whole concept of giving you the basic rundown of the past years true crime highlights. I thought for SURE that I wasn't going to be too surprised, and certainly there couldn't be *anything* that I've missed in the news - but I was wrong!

Most will have heard about SOME of these stories - but perhaps didn't know the specific details, or like myself, will end up saying out loud Whoaaa...I didn't hear about THAT one! More than once.

Of particular surprise to me was hearing about Charles Manson's will - who he left all his things to - including his body! And the ridiculous "cough syrup made me do it" defense. (making note to remember that) Also a few tidbits concerning the unsolved Delphi murders of Abby and Libby. Just to touch on a few.

I think I will probably have to check out the 2016 edition to see what else I've missed now.

Scary!

A brief look at some of the most notorious crimes of 2017. It's a scary world! Great narration!

Great read

True Crime 2017: Homicide & True Crime Stories of 2017 by Jack Rosewood and Rebecca Lo was a good collection of true crime stories from the year 2017. These were all some of the most heinous and horrendous crimes of 2017. I love the way the authors convey these stories. I can’t wait to read more by the authors.

I listened to it while falling asleep. the criminal mind intrigues me... what can i say? lol

What a year for crime

Great summary of the year from the crime world. As always, super interesting listen. My one complaint was the lack of a pause between stories. They kind of bled right into one another and hit you like a wall of text. I needed just a bit longer pause between cases so I knew we were on to the next one. But other than that, well done!
