Acerca de esta escucha
Dotty, Lucy and Annabelle all turn up for work at Coventry's department store Owen Owen at the same time as war is declared. Idle Chitter Chatter in the Guise of a Story
The narrator is expressive, a bit slow, but shows good expression for a story that is slow in getting started. The girls don't mesh, there's not real chemistry, and the dialogue doesn't advance the story.

Elementary
This had the potential to be a good story but it was so predictable that I guessed two of the three "secrets" long before they were revealed by the author. The characters were very stilted and unbelievable and the dialogue was so elementary that I felt I might be listening to the adventures of Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail. Part of that blame goes to the narrator who had a very annoying voice and sounded as though she was telling a story to a group of pre-schoolers. I just didn't enjoy this book at all.
