Entering the hospital as a highly decorated soldier with four years of trench survival, the 29-year-old Adolf Hitler, as depicted in his autobiography, Mein Kampf, had never entertained prejudiced thoughts against Jews. However, upon emerging a month later, he had transformed into the worst anti-Semite in history.
