From a homeless young man shoveling snow and selling paintings to Jews in Vienna, to an insignificant soldier in World War I, to the leader of a little-known movement that in a few years’ time catapulted him to international fame - a party that gave him the platform to rail against what he termed as the enemies of Germany - the Jews.

It was also a battle of surprises and irony, as well. Secondly, the War of 1812 was the most pointless series of conflicts for the parties involved, as the geographical borders ultimately reverted to what they were before the war.
