  • Gender Confusion, Transitioning, and Transformation with Kyla Gillespie
    Apr 7 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

It was such an honor to sit down with Kyla Gillespie as she shared her story of gender dysphoria, transitioning, de-transitioning, and how the church played a role in her salvation and transformation. Her testimony of God at work in her life should compel us to love our students wrestling with gender confusion and shape the way we minister and disciple them.

Check our her newest book: TransFormed

Now an international speaker and founder of Renewed & Transformed ministries, Kyla Gillespie's highest hope is that God might use her story to reveal He is big enough, good enough, and smart enough to guide any struggler—and that life in Christ is worth every moment of the struggle. “May others who find themselves in my shoes earnestly consider Christ who is worth it no matter the cost,” she declares, “and may the Church be there to love and disciple them like it did me. If anyone wonders if transformation and freedom is possible, here is my account of God’s redemptive and glorious work through his Word and his people.”

Learn more about Eric Murrell: With two decades of experience in strategy, branding, and digital products, I know what it takes to get things done. I'm a relentlessly curious problem solver who's at his best beside a whiteboard, with a unique knack for bringing order from chaos.

I've worn a lot of hats throughout my journey: leading strategy for a large non-profit, coordinating complex building projects, and developing digital tools with millions of users. I've found that no one discipline exists in a vacuum, and the best solutions often come from thinking outside the box (and sometimes even outside the norm). Those are the projects that excite me.

As a lifelong native of the Nashville area, the one thing I've failed at is learning guitar (though I'm still trying). Otherwise, I'm a big nerd who loves Nintendo, novels, and sci-fi movies. My wife (Lauren) is an incredible graphic designer, and our kids are creative forces of their own. On the weekends, you can find us active in our church, discovering new adventures, and probably trying to get our cat out of a tree.
